We’re pleased to offer a new Colombia Excelso coffee with expanded traceability from the Salgar Coffee Growers Cooperative.

In Southwestern Antioquia, amid striking mountain vistas and lush, fertile soils, you’ll find a group dedicated to the highest quality coffee. Founded in 1965 by thirty-four coffee producers seeking to stabilize market prices, the Salgar Coffee Growers Cooperative (Cocafisa) today represents nearly 3,000 smallholder farmers in this iconic producing region.

United under the principles of “honesty, transparency, solidarity, responsibility, trust, empowerment, and commitment,” the cooperative works tirelessly to ensure the economic stability and growth of producers in its region. Luckily, they’re working in just the right part of the world to grow wonderful coffees.

Here, sloping mountain altitudes and stunning river canyons contribute to these coffees’ smooth and balanced cup profiles, with classically sweet Colombian notes of chocolate and panela (cane sugar). We’re confident this traceable coffee from Cocafisa will be a welcoming, comforting addition to any menu.
