Award-winning Finca Danilandia is part of Guatemala’s emerging regenerative agriculture movement.
Grown in the crater of Volcan Tecuamburro, Finca Danilandia operates under the stewardship of producer Luis Arimany, who grew up helping his grandfather farm coffee in nearby Esquintla. Luis’ childhood experience sparked his passion for cultivation, and when the opportunity came to him to purchase Finca Danilandia, he leapt at the chance.The farm, which under the consultation of engineer Eduardo Sampaio, has joined the growing regenerative agriculture movement, thrives in the crater’s environment of shady planting within rich volcanic soil.
Finca Danilandia coffees have received numerous accolades from near and far, including the 2002 Guatemala Cup of Excellence and the Illy Quality Award in both 2022 and 2023; and has been selected as a Starbucks Special Reserve coffee. This coffee is EUDR compliant.
Luis and his family are committed to the well-being of the surrounding village as well as the farm itself, contributing resources to local schools and providing fertilizer and consulting services for smaller coffee producers in the region.
