Decaf Instant Coffee is in Demand

Instant coffee's been having a moment since the Dalgona Coffee craze of 2020—but it's actually been on the climb in popularity for even longer than that. The invention of state-of-the-art freeze-drying techniques have elevated instant coffee from a thing of ridicule to a delicious coffee option that's now embraced by specialty brands the world over. Come to think of it, that shift in reputation sounds a little familiar to us!

Having been a proud part of elevating the decaf movement to the quality and taste potential consumers now seek out, we're thrilled to see the convergence of specialty instant coffee and specialty decaf coffee come alive. More and more of our roaster partners have added an instant version of their Swiss Water® Process decaf offerings to their menu.

We're happy to be able to include many of them on our Decaf Store, a web shop dedicated to highlighting craft decaf roasters around the United States. (And hopefully including shipping beyond those borders in the future!)

If you've never tried specialty instant coffee, you're in for an eye-opener. From super-easy Steeped bags like Dancing Goats Decaf to stay-fresh sachets (made by PA coffee geeks SwiftCup) that can be stirred directly into hot or cold water, or your milk or milk substitute. Out of Portland, OR, Coava's seasonally-rotating instant decaf is always a hit on our store, and is joined by Power Nap Instant from Washington's Roast House Coffee, and Cafe Grumpy's Instant Decaf, roasted in Brooklyn, New York.

We love the versatility all of these specialty instant coffee offerings allow for travel or holidays away from your usual café or home setup—and especially for decaf, when sometimes only one person wants one cup. (But they want it right now!)

Check out what we have to offer on the Decaf Store and enjoy all the pleasure of our delicious decaf—in an instant!
