Our new Colombia Bacano Line (“bacano” meaning “cool, marvelous”) celebrates this vital origin country with a series of rotating decaffeinated selections throughout the year. The Colombia Bacano Line supplements our beloved year-round Colombia Excelso offering, offering a similar or better quality level while meeting the demand for additional regional and cooperative-level traceability. Each production run will be from a single supply stream, no blending, allowing roasters to better know the story of their coffee—a must in today’s specialty marketplace.
Throughout each year, we’ll feature a geographically diverse range of producers via the Colombia Bacano Line, highlighting not only smaller farms and supply streams, but allowing us to showcase the many flavor profiles from this coffee-abundant nation. Our first Colombia Bacano offerings will launch in late 2024. Reach out today to learn more and become part of this exciting program!
Anserma Cooperative
In Anserma, Colombia, 550 farmers are part of Todos al Agua, with 150 now supplying their cherries to a cutting-edge eco-community wet mill, co-financed by our import partners at RGC Coffee. Patio Project
Typically, farmers in Colombia perform washed processing and drying on their farms, only receiving funds once the coffee is dried. The Patio Project buys from known farmers in the region before the coffee is processed, allowing for producers to get paid earlier as well as increasing the consistency of the coffee by managing quality via centralized processing.
Preshipment Cup Profile: Caramel, Cashew, Mandarin Orange, Dark Chocolate, Plum, Black Tea
