Are you a coffee roaster? Join us for our next Specialty Coffee Association Skills Workshop: the Intermediate level Roasting Module!
At Swiss Water, our commitment to coffee goes far beyond the day to day business of decaffeinating coffee. Though we love that—it’s who we are—it’s our participation in the greater specialty coffee industry that reaffirms our love of coffee over and over again.
We strengthen this connection with our community by being a provider of SCA Coffee Skills Workshops, which provide profesional development for coffee industry members at all stages of their journey. In the Intermediate Roasting Module, we offer a three-day course that gives a detailed understanding of the roasting process and the different kinds of heat transfer at work. Our next session takes place March 28, 29, and 30th at our facility in Burnaby, British Columbia, and completion counts towards an SCA Coffee Skills Diploma.
We think our education program is one of the best in the business, but don’t just take our word for it.
“I’ve taken the Intro Pathways course, the Roaster Level 1 and the Cupping course. Aaron and Mike were great teachers, very patient and very engaging throughout all courses that I took.
Since taking the courses I opened up a Roastery/Tasting bar in South Surrey and have put all of the skills I learned into practice! I am able to comfortably talk the coffee talk with my customers and most importantly, learn how to roast (which is an ongoing learning curve!)
I also love the fact that Swiss Water holds the courses at their facility so that we could also learn about the decaffeination process and see it firsthand. Other facilities that teach the courses cannot offer this very important angle.”

We hope wherever you are on your professional pathway, you’ll join us at Swiss Water for deepening your knowledge with an SCA Coffee Skills Workshop.
