Before working in coffee, Kris earned a BSc from the University of Waterloo in Psychology, doing as much cognitive psychology research as he could get his hands on. During this time, he bounced around various job sectors, from statistical analysis, to technical writing, and even CPG product development, trying to find a good fit. While attempting to find himself by backpacking Western Europe, he began to fall in love with the specialty coffee industry, and a career direction that could satisfy his love for food and beverage. Kris likes his coffee the same way he likes his wine: tasty.
