Based in Seattle, David Kastle directs purchasing of all green coffee, oversees quality assurance, and manages sales to the matrix of importers, brokers, and dealers who distribute to specialty coffee roasters worldwide. Prior to coming to SWDCC, David spent twelve years as a specialty coffee importer and over 20 years in the beverage industry, working mostly in coffee (of course!) but also with a background in wines and spirits. When not at the cupping table or staring at the market screen, David might be thinking about coffee trends, origin travel, or what to cook for dinner. He is a fan of drip coffee, but won’t say ‘no’ to a macchiato.
