1. Information We Collect

We collect information from You when You use the Service, contact or interact with us, sign up for our newsletter or other mailing list, and voluntarily provide us with Your comments and other content in connection with using the Service

  • When You find Swiss Water near You, We may collect Your location, including Your precise geolocation.
  • When You submit a roaster kit request, We may collect Your first name, last name, company, email address, telephone number, street address, city, state, zip code, and country.
  • When You purchase goods through the Service, We may collect Your name, billing address, shipping address, billing zip code, credit card number, credit card expiration date, CVV, email address, telephone number, and other information sufficient for our payment processor to process the transaction and provide fraud screening, information security, and compliance.
  • When You sign up for a coffee subscription, We may collect information related to Your delivery frequency, information related to whether the subscription is a gift (and, if yes, the recipient’s email address), coupon code, billing details (including first name, last name, street address, country/region, town/city, state, zip code, telephone number, and email address), account password, username, shipping details (including first name, last name, street address, country/region, town/city, state, zip code, and order notes), credit card number, expiry date, card code, information related to whether You have read and agree to the Service terms and conditions, and information related to whether You agree to receive Swiss Water’s newsletter to be the first to know about decaf offerings, interesting coffee info, and special offers.
  • When You log in or register for an account, We may collect Your name, password, account/contact information (including first name, last name, email address, username, and password), company information (including company name, street address, city, state/province/region, zip/postal code, country, telephone number, fax number, website, and company type), shipping information (including first name, last name, company name, street address, city, province, zip/postal code, country, telephone number, fax number, and email address), buying information (including information related to whether You have signing authority for the company, where You buy Swiss Water Decaf Coffee, and the contact name, email address, and telephone number for the company where You buy Swiss Water Decaf Coffee), selling information (including information related to whether You sell Swiss Water Decaf online (and, if yes, Your Swiss Water online sales URL and which Swiss Water products You sell online)), information related to whether You agree to the trademark license agreement, and information related to whether You agree to receive Swiss Water’s newsletter to be the first to know about new coffee offerings and interesting company updates.
  • When You sign up for our newsletter, We may collect Your email address, first name, last name, company, purchase source, region, account type, category, online store, and trade newsletter information.
  • When You apply for a job, We may collect Your education and employment history, as well as Your CV.
  • When You contact us, We may collect Your first name, last name, email address, the subject of Your message, the contents of Your message, and information related to whether You agree to receive Swiss Water’s newsletter to be the first to know about decaf offerings, interesting coffee info, and special offers.
  • We may collect information about You from third-party sources. The Service provides links to our Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn pages. If You connect with these websites through the Service, We may receive personal information about You.
  • Facebook Login. We may use Facebook Login to facilitate single sign-on for our users and for other marketing purposes.  When You use Facebook Login, We may be able to retrieve Your name, Instagram username and bio, profile photo, and email address, as well as information You have added on Facebook. When You access and use the Service, we automatically collect information regarding You and Your device, including Your device’s Internet Protocol address, the domain name of Your Internet service provider, Your location, Your mobile device information (e.g. device model and operating system version), Your page visits, Your social sharing activity, and aggregated information that cannot be used to specifically identify You. We may combine all of the information we collect from or about You and use it in the manner described in this Privacy Policy.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information that We collect for several purposes, including:

A.  Third Party Service Providers and Business Partners. We may use third-party service providers and business partners to perform functions in connection with the Service, such as email marketing, site analytics, social sharing (pursuant to which information related to Your IP address, operating system, browser type, the webpage You visited, and cookie information may be shared in connection with social media plug-ins and widgets placed on the Website), relationship management, functions related to analyzing and improving the Service usefulness, reliability, user experience, and operation, storing data, and as otherwise described in this Privacy Policy.     • Google AdWords Conversion. We use Google Adwords Conversion to track user behavior after they interact with our ads (i.e., conversions).     • Hotjar. MailChimp may collect information from users subscribing to SWDC newsletters, including name, physical address, email address, IP address, phone number, gender, occupation, and other demographic information.     • ShipStation.     • Twitter. By clicking on the Twitter button on the Service, You will automatically be transported to the official Twitter feed of SWDC, @swisswater, https://twitter.com/swisswater.
    • YouTube. We host videos on YouTube that are embedded in the Service.  These are hosted on our account, viewable at: https://www.youtube.com/user/SwissWaterProcess.  When You view the videos on the Service or click on the YouTube button on the Service, Google may collect the URL of the page You are visiting and Your IP address. Google may additionally collect information related to location, browser and device information, websites visited, queries searched, ads viewed, videos watched, user names, or other account information. B.  Roaster Partners. We may share information with our roaster partners, including name, shipping address, order date, email address, and order item/quantity description.

C.  Business Changes. If We become involved in a merger, acquisition, sale of assets, joint venture, securities offering, bankruptcy, reorganization, liquidation, dissolution, or other transaction or if the ownership of all or substantially all of our business otherwise changes, We may transfer Your information to a third party or parties in connection therewith.

I.  Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies

We, along with third parties, use cookies, local storage objects, Web beacons and other technologies. These technologies are used for tracking, analytics and personalization and optimization of the Service.

7. Your Choices Regarding Your Information

You have choices regarding the use of information by the Service.

  • Closing Your Account – You may close Your account by contacting us at info@swisswater.com. If the email account associated with Your email address is not active, We may close Your account without notice.

Our Service is not intended for children under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from an individual under age 16.   • Request that We delete personal information about You that We may have collected.
  • Request that, for personal information that We have collected in the preceding 12 months, We disclose, free of charge (unless Your requests are manifestly unfounded or excessive), the categories of personal information that We have collected about You, the categories of sources from which the personal information was collected, the business or commercial purpose for collecting or selling personal information, the categories of third parties with whom We share personal information, and the specific pieces of personal information We have collected about You.
  • Request that, for personal information that We have sold or disclosed for a business purpose in the preceding 12 months, We disclose, free of charge (unless Your requests are manifestly unfounded or excessive), the categories of personal information that We have collected about You, the categories of personal information that We have sold about You, the categories of third parties to whom each category of personal information was sold, the categories of personal information that We have disclosed about You for a business purpose, and the categories of third parties to whom each category of personal information was disclosed.

Please note that the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (“CCPA”) entitles California consumers to instruct a business that sells personal information about the consumer to third parties not to sell the consumer’s personal information. We do not believe that We “sell” Your information within the meaning of “sale” under the CCPA. However, We recognize that the meaning of “sale” under the CCPA is still unclear. As clarifying regulatory guidance becomes available, We will update our policies accordingly. We do not have actual knowledge that We sell the personal information of minors under 16 years of age.

Before We can fulfill the requests to know and delete noted above, We must verify Your identity. If You have a password-protected account with us, We can verify Your identity through our existing authentication procedures for Your account. However, We will require You to re-authenticate Yourself before We can disclose or delete any of Your information.

If You do not have a password-protected account with us, We will require You to provide us with Your name, telephone number, home address, and email address, together with a signed declaration under penalty of perjury that You are the consumer whose personal information is the subject of the request. We will match this information to the personal information We maintain.

You can also authorize another person, called an agent, to exercise Your rights on Your behalf. You must provide the authorized agent written and signed permission to act on Your behalf. We may deny requests to opt out from an authorized agent who does not submit proof that he or she has been authorized to act on Your behalf. Furthermore, We may require You to verify Your identity directly with us. We may also require You to directly confirm with us that You have provided the authorized agent permission to submit a request on Your behalf. We may not discriminate against You because You exercised any of Your rights under the CCPA, including, but not limited to, by:

(C) Providing a different level or quality of goods or services to You.

(D) Suggesting that You will receive a different price or rate for goods or services or a different level or quality of goods or services.

However, nothing prohibits us from charging You a different price or rate, or from providing a different level or quality of goods or services to You, if that difference is reasonably related to the value provided to us by Your data.

We may offer financial incentives, including payments to You as compensation, for the collection of personal information, the sale of personal information, the retention of personal information, or the deletion of personal information. We may also offer a different price, rate, level, or quality of goods or services to You if that price or difference is directly related to the value provided to us by Your data.

NOTICE OF FINANCIAL INCENTIVE – We offer a financial incentive for enrolling in our marketing lists.  In exchange for your enrollment in our marketing lists, we may offer you free or discounted products.  Your contact information is valuable for us to be able to reach you about upcoming product launches and sales and, as a current or potential customer, we determine that the value of your contact information is a free product or percentage discount.   To enroll in our marketing lists, we will collect your name and email address.  You may opt in to this incentive by filling out the form to receive our marketing.  You have the right to withdraw from this incentive at any time by unsubscribing by e-mailing info@swisswater.com.
