David J. Rowntree - Chairman 
Managing Director, Tricor Pacific Capital Inc.

David is a founder and principal of Tricor Pacific Capital, a private equity investment firm.  Prior to joining Tricor, David was Associate Counsel with Stikeman Elliot, a Canadian-based global law firm, where his clients included companies in soft drink, beer and financial services industries.  David holds a B.A. from the University of B.C. and a Bachelor of Law from Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto, Ontario.


Richard T. Mahler

Retired 

Richard was Executive Vice President and CFO of Finning International Inc., the world's largest Caterpillar dealer, from 1990 until his retirement in 2003.  In addition to serving on our board of trustees, Richard is Chair, Partnerships BC, a director of Selkirk Financial Technologies and the Vancouver Board of Trade, and a director and Treasurer of the VGH/UBC Hospital Foundation.  He holds an M.B.A. from McMaster University, and a B.Sc. in Mathematics and Computing Science from the University of Waterloo.


Daniel A. J. Sitnam
President and CEO, Helijet International Incorporated

Daniel is the founder of Helijet International Inc., the most successful scheduled helicopter services in North America.  In this capacity as President and CEO, he oversees all financial, commercial and operational facets of the company, as well as its respective operating units, Helijet Charters and Pacific Helijet Services.  Daniel has received several awards and much recognition within the business community for his entrepreneurial accomplishments. 


Alton McEwen
Retired

Alton most recently was Chief Executive Officer of The Second Cup Ltd., Canada’s leading specialty coffee retailer with close to 400 cafés coast to coast.  Previously he was on the board of Second Cup, and also oversaw their U.S. operations.  Mr. McEwen also brings strong packaged goods and food service expertise to the board having been in previous senior management positions with mmmuffins Ltd., Rowntree Canada, Laura Secord, and Catelli Ltd..



Roland W. Veit
Chairman, Paragon Coffee Trading Company

Roland Veit is the co-founder of Paragon Coffee Trading Company and in 1992 became the company's principal owner and chairman. He has a long and developed career in coffee. In 1972 he joined Nestle's world headquarters in Switzerland as a commodities buyer. In 1978 he gained his first exposure to specialty coffees when he started a coffee and tea trading department at a commodities trading firm in Johannesburg. Roland served three years (1989-92) on the Board of Directors of the Specialty Coffee Association of America (SCAA).



Frank Dennis
President and CEO, SWDCC 

Frank has led SWDCC since it separated from Kraft Foods in 2000.  A proven brand-builder, Frank has worked within the coffee industry for more than 10 years.  Past positions include Business Director of Kraft Foods Coffee Division, where he oversaw the growth of the SWISS WATER® Process brand and the development of brands such as Nabob and Maxwell House.  Frank holds a B.A. from the University of Western Ontario and an M.B.A. from the University of Toronto.
