Hess Express Stores Will Begin Exclusively Offering Swiss Water Decaf March 1

Swiss Water Decaffeinated Coffee Company, Inc. (SWDCC) of Vancouver, British Colombia is pleased to announce that Amerada Hess convenience stores, known as Hess Express, will begin carrying SWISS WATER® decaffeinated coffee, beginning March 1, 2005.

Amerada Hess Corporation operates 605 Hess Express convenience stores on the east coast from New Hampshire to South Florida and is considered a major retailer. Each Hess Express location brews their propriety brand of coffee called Mountain Top, which has won local awards for “best tasting coffee.”

“It’s our goal to provide the absolute best products to our customers and we felt that the SWISS WATER® Process gave us the optimum flavor characteristics for the coffee,” explains Spencer Turer, Coffee Category Manager at Amerada Hess Corporation. “We are always looking out for the customer’s best interests. Hess Espress’ will be using customized co-branded point of purchase materials to let customers know about the new decaf. “We plan to use the Swiss Water logo so that customers realize they are getting a branded, premium product—a product they may recognize from other specialty coffee retailers.” Turer also plans to educate his staff through internal communications and marketing bulletins.
